Bouncing Eggs

We did an experiment this week to see if we could make eggs bounce. We then used this as inspiration for writing recounts. The eggs were hard boiled then sat in vinegar for 24 hours, to dissolve the shell. Sadly, Miss Ryman didn't boil the eggs long enough and our first batch of eggs just exploded!

We were so impressed that Sharlah decided to try the experiment again at home. She told me she boiled the egg longer - for about 10 minutes and then we put it in vinegar at school. Today during discovery we took the egg outside and were so pleased that this one bounced! Thanks for sharing with us Sharlah :)

Ollie baking bread
