Imaging

We have been learning to solve maths problems by imaging.

Working together

During discovery these students all worked together to make a city out of blocks. Well done team!

Bubbles

In Kōtuku we made some bubbles and then came up with some WOW words to describe them.

Robots!

Yesterday we started the week reading Astro the Robot Dog.

Rainbow Fish

It is already week 6 and this week we have a book to focus on during our play and HEART Zone time. The book is "The Rainbow Fish".

We read it every morning and have talked about the message in the story. Momo said it is good to share and Broden said Rainbow Fish is happy now he has shared all of his scales. We all think that being happy is more important than being the most beautiful.

Here are some pictures of our HEART Zones and the different learning we are taking from this book.

This is the front cover of the book. It is written by Marcus Pfister.

We are retelling the story using Explain Everything on the iPads and these masks.

We like colouring in the rainbow fish and his friends.

Broden is using the loose parts to make his own Rainbow Fish.

Sandpit Volcano

On Friday mornings Kōtuku take part in a literacy experience. We do some shared writing and it is lots of fun.

This week we made a sandpit volcano! Miss Thomason poured in some mixture and it was so bubbly and a pinky red colour. Check out the pictures!

The Circus Came to Wigram!

At Friday's assembly the circus came and we watched the acrobats do some awesome tricks. It was very exciting. Lots of us are going to visit the circus while it is in Wigram.

Respect

Cooper, Burt and Tyler W chose to respect our school by picking up rubbish during discovery time. Mr Rob will be so happy.
