Numicon Learning

We have been having so much fun with our new maths programme, Numicon. We have started putting some activities and equipment out during Heart Zones and it is great to see Kotuku enjoying themselves and making great maths connections. Keep it up, team!

Buddy Reading

 Today Ruru came to visit Kōtuku to do buddy reading. Have a look at all the reading that was happening. 

Ipad Writing

We had great fun writing some stories on the ipads yesterday. Most of the children chose to retell the story of Jack and the Beanstalk, which we are focusing on this week. Well done to everyone who had a go!

HEART Zones Week 2

We've already been having lots of fun on HEART Zones this week! Many of our activities are tied in with our inquiry topic, which is fairytales. This week we are focusing on Jack and the Beanstalk. In these photos you can see Kotuku enjoying listening to fairytales on the ipads, using new puzzles, making books, making beanstalks out of playdough and counting beans.
