Kia ora Kōtuku students and whanau,
Thank you to everyone who has posted something on the blog so far. We've really enjoyed hearing what you've been up to. Please keep them coming.
We are now running google hangouts with groups of Kōtuku students who are learning from home. Thank you to those of you who joined us for the first session this morning; it was great to see you all! This is new for all of us so please bear with us whilst we try to iron out any technical issues that occur. If you have tried to connect to a hangout and it hasn't worked for some reason please send us an email so we can try to address the problem.
We will be sending out further invitation links for next week's sessions via email so please keep an eye out for these in your inbox.
Look forward to connecting with you all soon.
Kōtuku teachers.

Hello everyone!
Hello Everyone!
It has been lovely to see and hear what you have been up to. I hope that you and your family are doing well.
In my bubble at home I have my husband Shaun, my daughter Lucy, my son Tom and our cat Oscar. We have been able to bike ride near our home more, as the road is quiet at the moment. Since it has been so sunny we have gone for a walk or a bike ride each day.
This picture is of me in our family running race. I came last and am at the end of it. It was fun! I thought if I tried some running each day I will get fitter and faster. Is anyone keen to do some running together when we all get back to school? We could make a track or an obstacle course. What good ideas do you have?
Lucy, Tom and I have tried quite a few things from our Wigram Primary School Home Learning site. We really enjoyed this from the writing section - under learning tasks - slide number 3. We had turns pushing the buttons to give us a story starter. We had some funny conversations and laughs while we chose and then picked one to write together. Have you had a try of this one yet?
Take care everyone and I hope that you have a great day with your family. What is something kind you could say to the people in your family today? Maybe you could start it with "Thank you for......". I am sure they would love to hear something that you appreciate about them. We wanted to say thank you to you all for trying your best at the moment and what amazing families you all are!

Kia ora Kōtuku, I hope you are all safe and happy in your bubble. I have loved seeing all of your amazing creations here on the blog.
This is where I have been sitting when I comment on all your fantastic blog posts.
In my bubble we have been baking lots of delicious treats. It has been so much fun measuring out ingredients and following a recipe. Here are some of my favourites.
Hot Cross Buns
Bread
Pavlova
Ginger Kiss
If you have done some baking we would love to see some pictures on the blog.
Over the weekend I became an Aunty. I was so excited and have been chatting to my sister and my Niece Maia on FaceTime. Maia doesn't talk much she mainly just sleeps, cries and eats but she is so gorgeous. I can't wait to go up to Auckland to visit her.
I hope you are all well and I can't wait to see more pictures and stories of what you have been doing in your bubble.

Zoey’s Koala Project
Sent from my iPhoneZoey did a research project on Koala's today. She picked some questions and used google to find the answers. This is her finished product.
Zoey also misses all her friends, classmates and teachers and hopes that everyone is safe and well.
Miss Bell's Bubble
Kia ora Kōtuku! I miss you all a lot but it has been making me so happy seeing all of your blog posts about what you have been up to in your bubbles.
In my bubble, I have my partner Reece, his sister Christie and her fiance, Hamish. We have a lot of laughs together and it has been nice playing board games and card games as well as some jigsaws. I borrowed one from Miss Thomason to do before we started our time in our bubble.
We also have 2 kittens called Appa and Momo. They are black and white. They like having us at home and have been trying to join in on the blog.

At the end of March, it was my birthday but because I had to stay in my bubble it was a small birthday this year. That is okay because I still had fun. It is different not being able to see my friends but they sent me nice messages and I got some flowers too. I know some of you have had a birthday in your bubble too!
It has been so nice having so much sunshine during this time. I have been going for walks in the forest that is near my house. In there some local children have been making fairy houses and putting them on the trees. Here are a few of my favourite ones.
I have been trying to do some things I find a bit hard so I can challenge myself and I have been learning how to draw some Disney characters. I do it while face-timing my friends so we are all drawing the same thing. It is lots of fun.
I hope you are all keeping well in your bubbles. Please keep sharing all of the cool things you have been doing and don't forget to check out school learning site for some more ideas.
Miss Bell :)

Blog post from Archer
Hi friends,
Today I made a lion using leaves I found. It took half an hour to make it.
I've been going on lots of bike rides too and built a lot of lego.

Mrs Galletly's bubble
Kia ora Kōtuku students and whānau
Hope you've all had a happy, fun weekend in your bubbles.
It's been great to see so many of you sharing what you've been up to on our class blog. I've really enjoyed reading all the posts and it sounds like you've found heaps of interesting things to do at home.
This week we thought it would be nice for the Kōtuku teachers to share some of the things we've been up to in our bubbles.
In my bubble it's me, my husband Ben, my son Charlie (5) and our dog Monty.
Charlie has created a fitness course in our backyard and he's also been working hard on a tangram game on the iPad. He has to place the shapes correctly to make the picture shown on the iPad.
After looking at some of your lovely leaf pictures on the blog we were inspired to collect some leaves from our neighbourhood and do some leaf rubbings.
Our dog Monty has just had an operation on his leg so he needs lots of extra care, love and rest right now. You can't see his sore leg in the picture because it's on the other side.
Please keep us updated with what you're doing at home and stay safe in your bubbles. We look forward to seeing you all again soon.

Coopers Rain Gauge
Hi Everyone,
We watched Home Learning TV yesterday and I really liked learning about why and how it rains.
This is our rain gauge that we learnt to make and we are going to record any rainfall daily over the next 10 days.

Aria's art and baking
Hello everyone,
I miss seeing you all at school.
I hope you are well and safe.
I really enjoyed spending quality time with my parents, going on teddy bear hunts (one day we counted 312 teddies), riding my bike, drawing with chalk with my mum, building lego with my dad and lots of other activities.
Yesterday I baked heart shaped lavendar shortbread with my mum and made leaf art after finding many different leaves in the neighborhood. It pictures a forrest at sunset that is why the sky isn't blue and it's raining petals :)
